No. Tixel® uses pure heat (Thermal-Mechanical Action) rather than light or radiation. This means there is no risk of eye damage from stray beams, and a much lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — making it the safest choice for advanced skin resurfacing, especially for darker skin tones.
How much downtime should I expect after Tixel®?
“Social downtime” is minimal. You will experience redness and a “sunburnt” feeling for 24–48 hours. Small micro-crusts will form (which can be covered with mineral makeup) and will naturally flake off within 3–5 days — significantly less than traditional CO2 laser resurfacing.
Does Tixel® hurt?
We apply a topical numbing cream before the treatment to ensure you are completely comfortable throughout the session. Most clients describe the feeling as a quick, warm “zap” — very different from the intense sensation associated with laser treatments.
When will I see results from Tixel®?
