Is the Green Peel® safe for dark skin tones?
Yes. Because the Green Peel® is herbal and does not rely on the “burn” of acids, it is exceptionally safe for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick 4–6). It actually helps treat post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) without the risk of creating more — which makes it one of the safest professional peels available for darker complexions.
Does the Green Peel® hurt?
During the herbal massage you will feel a “spiky” or prickling sensation as the micro-particles of herbs enter the skin. This is perfectly normal and tells you the herbs are working! The sensation usually subsides within 24 hours, and most clients find it very tolerable.
Will my skin actually peel?
It depends on the level you choose. With the Classic treatment, visible peeling typically begins on day 3 or 4. You return to our Sunninghill clinic on day 5 for a “Beauty Finish” treatment that reveals your brand-new skin. The Fresh Up and Energy versions usually result in little to no visible peeling.
